University Calendar
The Calendar is the university's major publication; it includes admission procedures and deadlines, academic regulations, programs of study, academic standards, degree requirements, general university policies, and codes for both undergraduate and graduate students.
- Continuing students should refer to the Calendar in effect at the time they were admitted (or readmitted) for the regulations governing their degree program requirements. Changes in degree program requirements (i.e., the required courses specified for a particular program of studies, or the units of course weight required in specified subject areas, or the total units of course weight required in the degree program) apply only to new students and those readmitted to a faculty, unless stated otherwise.
- Changes regarding "academic standing" regulations such as the eligibility to continue in a program, promotion, and graduation requirements, apply to both new and continuing students. All students should annually refer to the current Calendar for appropriate academic standing regulations.
The updated version of the University Calendar is published each year on March 1.
Tips for Using the Online Calendar
- Use the Table of Contents on the left side of the online Calendar to navigate to specific sections of the Calendar.
- The Calendar Search (shown at the top of the left navigation) allows quick retrieval of Calendar content that matches your interests. To use the Calendar Search, simply enter a search keyword or phrase and press ENTER. The search will find any matching content in the calendar including courses, programs, faculties, departments or other narrative content.
- To print a page click the printer icon (upper right of Calendar page). The "Print Friendly" version will open up with just the content of the page in it (no navigation or header). If you click the print link on a "Print Friendly" page the browser will popup with the print dialog allowing you to print that page. If your browser does not support the print link you may need to use the operating system or web browser's built in print functions instead.
- See our Calendar Quick Start Guide for more information on how to get started.
